Maurizio Zappettini, also known as mzo, or methazoo in the metaverse, is an award-winning creative director, 3D art director, VFX supervisor, and advertising director based in Los Angeles, California. As a director, Maurizio, a graduate of Art Center College of Design, has been helming and crafting iconic advertising campaigns and music videos in the United States and Europe since the early 2000s. Alongside directing, Maurizio has been cultivating a deep interest in 3D design, animation, and visual effects since the early days of his career. He has progressively merged these skills into his directing work and eventually made them his core interest. As a 3D technologist, Maurizio specializes in innovative workflows and pipelines to optimize the creation of computer graphics and visual effects for short-form content, particularly advertising. He focuses on procedural and parametric systems for 3D, typically in SideFX Houdini.
